The Loyal Subjects Masters of the Universe Action Vinyl He-Man

The Loyal Subjects Masters of the Universe Action Vinyl He-Man Review

By the Power of Grayskull!!!! The Hero of Eternia, He-Man is brought to you by The Loyal Subjects!!!

I didn’t plan to go out and buy these figures and to start collecting the whole lot of them, but I am surely impressed with these figures. I am planning to pick up a few more of them and I already have Skeletor, Beast Man and Tri-klops on the way.

He-Man comes as a 3” figure with 10 different points of articulation. He also comes with his signature accessories, the Power Sword (Filmation) and his Shield. Strangely he doesn’t come with his Battle Ax. The weapons are painted a nice bright silver and it is also made from a very sturdy plastic.

He-Man comes with his awesome Filmation look. The details on him are impressive and I must say that the paint job on him are top class. There are no smudges or any areas that wasn't painted properly.  Even the Box Art is awesome!!!

He-Man also comes with a little Collectors Trading Card which also includes a little Bio on the figure. This is a nice little extra add on to the figure.

He-Man - (2/16 Chance of getting) is part of Wave 1 which also includes the following figures:

Skeletor - (2/16 Chance of getting)
Tri-Klops - (2/16 Chance of getting)
Beast Man - (2/16 Chance of getting)
Man-At-Arms - (2/16 Chance of getting)
Stratos - (2/16 Chance of getting)
Faker - (1/96 Chance of getting)
Teela - (1/48 Chance of getting)
Evil-Lyn - (1/24 Chance of getting)
Trap-Jaw - (2/16 Chance of getting)
Man-E-Faces - (2/16 Chance of getting)

Wave 1 will have 11 Figures in total.

These figures are blind boxed and is available in a box of 16 figures so you will receive one of more of each figure. The rare figures are Faker, Teela and Evil-Lyn.

Prince Adam is the 12th Figure in Wave 1, but he was the 2016 SDCC Exclusive Figure. Made in very limited numbers he came packaged on a blister card.

I am glad that I bought He-Man. He is a awesome little figure!  I think that the Loyal Subjects brings something different and new to the MOTU Figures and these figures will make a nice addition to any MOTU Collection!!!

Super7 Reveals MOTU Classics at NYCC 2016

So as you know by now, the big news from NYCC 2016 was that Super7 revealed their take on the Masters of the Universe. They call it the Ultimate Collection and the following figures were revealed:

He-Man
Skeletor
Ram Man
Teela
Faker

I must say that this was a wonderful idea from Super7 to release these figures with extra accessories that was previously issued with other figures. It is a master touch on the side of Super7!!

Other News:

1.    Super7 will use the same factory as was used before. There will be no difference in color or quality of plastic that will be used.
2.    No final decision on pricing, but it seem like the price rage could be $30 to $35.
3.    No final decision has been made on how the figures will be offered to Collectors. It could be offered via a Sub System or a Pre-Order System.
4.    It seems like we will be able to start ordering the figures in November or December.
5.    There will be 8 Figures in the Ultimate Collection and 8 Filmation Figures.
6.    More reveals will follow at a later stage.
7.    The packaging for the Ultimate Collection and the Filmation Figures will stay the same as the current packaging.

Let’s take a look at each figures:

Faker:

Faker  will be released with the following accessories:

Something extra that I would liked to have seen released with Faker is his Red Vintage Mini Comic Armor and also as seen on the Vintage Back Cards. A great idea will also be to release Faker with his Classic Battle Damaged Armor.

Final Thoughts:

Super7 really kicked off with a bang. At this stage they are enabling new collectors to start collecting hard to find figures at a decent price. Hopefully this will kick Ebay Sellers in the bud. Thanks so much for Teela. I think she never had a re-lease before and she is one of the hard to find figures at this moment.

I think with Super7 leading the way a lot of Collectors will join the MOTU Family again.

Well done to Super7 and the team behind them. This is a job well done!!!

Anti-Eternia He-Man

Anti-Eternia He-Man

Most Evil Man in the Universe

He-Man? Nope, he isn’t! This almost doppelganger is the ruler of a dark mirror world called Anti-Eternia. Ruling from his Castle Hellskull, Anti-Eternia He-man was summoned by Skeletor via his World Converter, the evil interloper might just be the most dangerous threat to Eternia yet. By the power of Hellskull, I have the power!

Bio:

Real Name: Prince Adam of Anti-Eternia (Lord Mada of Hellskull)

When Skeletor utilized the Elixir of Schneidor to open doorways into other dimensions, he inadvertently created a pathway to the Antiverse, a mirror dimension in which good and evil have traded places! There He-Man is the most ruthless tyrant that Anti-Eternia has ever known. Suffering a recent defeat to his arch-rival, the heroic Prince Keldor, the Anti-He-Man escapes through one of the dimensional gates created by Skeletor’s experiments and found himself on normal Eternia. His evil powers unstoppable, he conquered most of the planet with his own alliance of evil warriors until He-Man and Skeletor united to fight him. As a final betrayal, Skeletor transported both He-Men to the Antiverse where He-Man helped Prince Keldor overthrow Anti-He-Man in Castle Hellskull. Later Gwildor and Zodak from normal Eternia used the Cosmic Key to allow He-Man to return to his own dimension.

Hordak

Hordak
Ruthless Leader of the Evil Horde

He is the leader of the Evil Horde, an army of savage warriors, most of whom wear a red bat symbol on their chest to convey their allegiance. He is the former mentor of Skeletor, and he also opposes She-Ra and He-Man.

Bio:

Real Name: Hec-Tor Kur

Second born heir to the Horde Empire, Hec-Tor Kur arrived on the planet Eternia while battling the cosmic warrior He-Ro. Taking the name Hordak, he raised an army and challenged the Snake Men for rule over the planet. Although he defeated King Hssss, Grayskull, leader of the free people of Eternia succeeded in banishing him to the dimension of Despondos. It was here that centuries later Hordak contacted a young alchemist named Keldor and began teaching him the ways of the dark arts in exchange for freedom from his extra dimensional prison.

Weapons:

White Crossbow
Bat Shield

Character Type:

Alien

Affiliation:

Evil Horde

Personality:

Hordak’s core personality is that of a person that is full of vengeance and hate. He is a savage warrior and conqueror.

Companion:

Horde Prime

Powers and Abilities:

In the Filmation Series, Hordak possesses an array of powers. The majority of Hordak's powers are seemingly the product of science. He is capable of transforming himself in a variety of ways. For example, he can turn his arm into an energy cannon, become a massive tank, and even transport himself over great distances by becoming a rocket. In the episode "The Stone in the Sword", Hordak even transforms his arm into a vacuum cleaner. Although mechanical in result, these transformations may have been magically instigated, as they occur instantaneously with an eerie glow and sound effect.

However, the mini comics and Marvel Star comic books depict Hordak as using magic to a greater extent, more so than science. He is shown to be a powerful dark mage of equal or greater power to Skeletor and most likely has far greater knowledge.

As Hurricane Hordak, he has the power to discharge violent whirlwinds via mechanical rotor-blades that replace his right hand. As Buzz-Saw Hordak, he can launch a deadly spinning buzz-saw-like projectile from his chest. The accompanying mini comics explain the origins of both seemingly technological powers in clearly magical terms.

In the 2002 Mike Young Productions cartoon, Hordak briefly appears in flashbacks and in astral form via "dimensional portals". He is depicted as a supremely powerful magic-user, seemingly of vastly greater power than Skeletor, and with no apparent reliance on technology whatsoever, other than his Horde Troopers, although it is unknown if these redesigned minions are still intended to be robots like the original versions.

Powers – Summary:

Adaptive
Blast Power
Claws
Dimensional Manipulation
Flight
Immortal
Intellect
Invulnerability
Magic
Marksmanship
Shape Shifter
Swordsmanship
Teleport
Unarmed Combat
Weapons Master
Wind Bursts
